Disturbance and Recovery of Ecological Systems
Proceedings of a seminar held on 14-15 February 1995. The first section of these proceedings groups together papers concerned with processes of disturbance and recovery, both natural (floods, grazing competition from introduced species) and artificial (pollution, deforestation, aquaculture). The second section of the proceedings is concerned with restoration and management of disturbed ecosystems and deals with a range of subject areas frpm the identification of the goals of restoration to trampling by tourists, river drainage, sea-floor dredging and mine tip restoration.
